St. Joseph Catholic School provides a solid academic curriculum, from early childhood through the 12th grade, that prepares students to be responsible and contributing citizens in an ever-changing and challenging society.

The curriculum includes basic classes as well as enrichment, college preparatory and electives. Central to the curriculum is an emphasis on arts, music, humanities, creativity, foreign language, computer skills and religion, which enables the students to broaden their horizons by exploring new subjects and developing new skills.

We are committed to maintaining small class sizes and small teacher-student ratios, with our outstanding faculty of dedicated, passionate, and state qualified teachers in all subjects.

News about St. Joseph Catholic School System

Collaborative Research. St. Joseph School and the Texas A&M Counseling Psychology Department are entering into a collaborative research partnership to develop practical strategies on how to implement positive peer relations (among students) and to provide behavioral support plans (for teachers). The "Fostering Healthy Relationships" project will include a religious/theological component to go with the psychological/sociological groundwork prepared by A&M. From the A&M side, the project will be led by Drs. Jamilia Blake and Tim Elliott.

Dr. Blake is an Assistant Professor in the School Psychology program at Texas A&M. She is also a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology and is the Director of the Peer Relations and Adjustment Lab. Dr. Blake's research interests surround children’s peer relations, social adjustment and academic achievement. Dr. Elliott studies the behavioral, psychological, and social factors that influence the health and well being of a person. He is the program director of the Counseling Psychology program at Texas A&M. The administration will keep the St. Joseph community appraised of developments as matters progress.
